1. Bring your packet from DPS. If you need one, I have them also.
2. Bring pen and paper.
3. Bring a reliable handgun of at least .32 caliber. Best is to get licensed with a semi auto, this will allow carry of both revolvers and semi autos. Your CHL will state what type you are licensed with.
4. Bring at least 100 factory rounds for your weapon. No reloads from ANY source.
5. Hearing protection and eye protection. Ear plugs are fine, but they must be commercial type, no rolled up toilet paper please.
6. A hat and drinking water will make the range portion much easier in south Texas heat.
7. Comfortable footwear will make the range easier.
8. Cleaning kit for your weapon is fine, but we will not have time to clean there. If you are not sure on whether your weapon will make it through the 50 round course of fire, please clean and lubricate it before class. Weapon stoppages waste your time and your classmates, maintain your weapon as if your life depends on it.
