1. If you apply online for renewal or as a new app, DPS will have a packet in your hands within 3 to 4 weeks, sometimes less.
2 A good CHL holster is comfortable for all day wear with the attire that you use. I do have some overviews in archives. You will have to experiment with several different designs to find one that works for you.
3. The Texas CHL written exam is a fairly straightforward common sense type of test. If you paid attention during class it should not be a problem.
4. Comp-tac makes damn good gear. So does Sidearmor and Bladetech. It boils down to what works for you.
